Setting up Grok in Roo Code

Roo Code's own documentation states that the extension was shut down on May 15th and points to ZooCode and Cline as successors. The steps below apply to installs that are still running.
Before you start
Create an account and issue an API key — the setup below starts from the key in your dashboard.

Open the Roo Code settings and pick OpenAI Compatible as the API Provider.
Choose your provider
Roo needs an LLM provider to work. Choose one to get started, you can add more later.
Enter the GrokAPI base URL, your API key, and set the model to grok-4.5.
